  • Is travelling allowance included in the stipend?
    Stipend does not cover travel expenses. Organisation will cover costs for field visits outside your area/region of work only.
  • What opportunities are there for the fellows after 2 years of the fellowship?
    There are no placements that take place, but through the fellowship the fellow would be able to build a solid network within the ecosystem and build skills that help one to explore opportunities post the fellowship.
  • How does TPF handle conflicts or challenges that may arise among fellows?
    We trust the capacities of the fellows to resolve issues emerging among themselves, when it is not resolved at that level, it can be raised further to their manager. All members are capacitated to respond appropriately to conflict situations and problem solve for challenges.
  • What is the selection Process?
    The TPF selection committee will carefully review applications, looking at eligibility, technical skills, alignment with fellowship goals, authenticity, and required mindsets. This thorough evaluation aims to inform candidates who make it to the next round by January 24, 2024.
  • What is the eligibility Criteria?
    Before filling out the application, carefully review the eligibility criteria to ensure you meet the requirements for the fellowship. You can find this information in the job description of the fellowship, available on the website or social media.
  • What is the duration of the fellowship program?
    The fellowship duration is 2 years, and it is based in different districts of Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
  • Is there a community or network for former fellows, and how do they stay connected after completing the program?
    Yes, we have an alumni group comprising all former fellows. They come together annually during our gathering, and we maintain common communication groups to keep the alumni connected.
  • How long would the induction be? When would it take place?
    Tentatively for 1 month in the month of April.
  • How will I know if I am selected or not?
    If you are selected for the next round, you will be notified through the contact information provided in your application. Be sure to check your email regularly and respond promptly to any communication from the TPF. Also, Remember to check the official TPF website and our official social media profile for the most up-to-date information on the fellowship application process, as details may vary.
  • How many cohorts were there before 2024?
    The fellowship program started in Uninhibited in 2018, and up to now, we have had four cohorts.
  • How many fellows are selected for each state?
    10 fellows for each state
  • In which two states are we currently seeking fellows for the TPF?
    In Madhya Pradesh & Karnataka
  • Will I need to carry my own laptop?
    Yes, you will have to carry your own laptop.
  • What happens in the telephonic rounds?
    It will be a one on one conversation to explore more on what is shared in the application form and/or any other particular information that is important to know before we move ahead to the next round.
  • Can fellows pursue additional educational opportunities or certifications during the fellowship?
    No, this is a full time working fellowship.
  • Is the application open to all gender identities?
    Yes, this application is open to all gender identities.
  • What are the key qualities or skills you look for in fellowship applicants?
    Please refer to the job description available on our website.
  • How many rounds of selection are involved in the fellowship process?
    There are three rounds: the first is the application form, the second is a telephonic interview, and the third is a selection conference, which will take place offline.
  • Is there a specific academic background required for the fellowship, or is it open to individuals from various disciplines?
    No, only graduation in any discipline is the basic requirement.
  • How will I get to know that my application has been selected?
    You will receive an email from the TPF team within one-two weeks post your submission. Please note everyone in the organisation is on a break between 23rd December 2023- 1st January 2024.
  • How do I access the TPF application form?
    Visit the official TPF website or our official social media profile (add link here?) to find the fellowship application form. The form is typically available on the first page of the website
  • What districts will the fellows be placed in KAR and MP?
    This is yet to be finalised, by selection conference you will be informed.
  • Are there any specific language requirements for communication in the regions where fellows will be placed?
    Yes, for Karnataka we need individuals who are able to speak/read/write in Kannada and for Madhya Pradesh we need individuals who are able to speak/read/write in Hindi.
  • What is the average workload and working hours for fellows during the program?
    Working days are from Monday - Saturday and based on government departments timings, please note this fellowship is not a 9-6 based job, one has to be flexible with their hours, while ensuring you work- life balance is maintained.
  • How many fellows will be present in each region/district?
    Our aim is to place two fellows in each region/district.
  • Are there any opportunities for fellows to contribute to the design or improvement of the fellowship program?
    Yes, there are active feedback loops in place during the fellowship which gives the fellows enough opportunity to share what can be improved. We hope to create opportunities for fellows to design their own rituals and spaces contributing to their leadership journey.

  • In the location where fellows are placed, do they have access to basic amenities and services there?
    In the locations where fellows will be placed, they will have access to all the necessary amenities.
  • Will I be financially supported to buy a two -wheeler?
    No, you can buy/lease on your own or if you already have a two - wheeler you can transport it to the location, there won't be any financial support provided.
  • What is the stipend amount, and does it increase in the second year of the fellowship?
    The TPF provides a stipend of INR 50,000 for the first year, and the stipend may increase in the second year contingent on performance.
  • Can fellows continue working remotely, or is on-site presence mandatory throughout the program?
    On- site presence is mandatory throughout the program.
  • Do the fellows receive training for the work they are required to do in the region?
    Yes, there will be an induction for fellows before they go onto the field.
  • Why is proficiency in riding a two-wheeler important for this fellowship?
    In the remote areas where the fellowship is based, getting around can be tough. It's most convenient and saves time if you have your own two-wheeler and can ride it.
  • What kind of impact is TPF looking to achieve through the fellowship program?

  • What is the selection conference?
    The Selection Conference is the last phase of the TPF (The Period Fellowship) selection process. During this event, candidates come together for activities like interviews and group discussions. It's a crucial step where we assess technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and alignment with the fellowship goals. This conference is key to making final decisions on fellowship recipients, emphasizing our commitment to a thorough evaluation. We believe it will be a valuable experience for candidates, offering insights into the TPF's mission and encouraging meaningful interactions.
  • Do we have strong connections with governments in all regions?
    We have partnered with the government, for example in Karnataka we have collaborated with RKSK wherein we trained RKSK frontline workers with a contextualised version of our Periodshala program, with the intention to meet our vision by scaling through the government. The work will be in alignment with local government systems. We intend to build on these connections and strengthen our relationship with the government during the course of the fellowship in both the states.
  • How do the fellows in different states and regions stay connected?
    Through set processes and rituals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual basis remotely and in- person gatherings, fellows are connected which contributes to their own leadership journey and the cohort’s fellowship experience.
  • Are there any age restrictions for applying to the TPF fellowship?
    Minimum 25 years of age.
  • What is the deadline for submission of the application?
    Ensure you adhere to the submission deadlines i.e. 10th January 2024.
  • Is prior experience in a specific field required for the fellowship?
    Yes, 5-7 years of professional/field experience, particularly with marginalised communities which includes 1-2 years of experience with government systems. Please note the experience with government systems is a preference and not mandatory.
